October is just around the corner (where has this year gone!). That means New Jersey is in the midst of some super Fall festivals. The biggest on our October list is Oktoberfest.

No need to get out your passport and trek to Germany for a little fun. Grab a group of friends, hire a luxury party bus with a professional chauffeur, and have some beer and bratwurst!

The original Oktoberfest began October 1810 in honor of the royal wedding between Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen. As you can imagine, it was a party. Friends ate, drank, and generally made merry.

You can do the same thing right here in Central New Jersey!

New Jersey Party Bus Fun for Oktoberfest

Okay, so which Oktoberfest do you want to go to? We’ve got three but there are more:

Seaside Heights, NJ

September 30-October 1

It’s the second year for this Oktoberfest, and they’ll kick it off with the Tapping of the Keg. Enjoy seasonal craft beer tastings and great bands. Of course, there will be authentic German food, a beer garden, food trucks, and more.

Veterans Park, Highlands, NJ

October 7

Here you can experience both the German and Bavarian culture. You’ll find potato pancakes, traditional bratwurst, and many other tasty German dishes. Plus, watch polka dancers and live musicians. There are also craft and vendor booths. And, as always, great beer!

New Brunswick is having its first annual Oktoberfest on the same day. They, too, will have an afternoon complete with dancing, contests, live music and local fare. And there’s no entry fee!

October 14

Billed as “NJ’s Best Oktoberfest & Vendor Fair,” Forest Lodge has so much stuff going on we can’t even list it all! Here are some highlights: Amusement rides, carnival booths, HUGE selection of German-American food like goulash, spaetzle, baurenwurst, German desserts…get the picture?

Ales & Tails Oktoberfest

West Orange, NJ

Who would think of holding an Oktoberfest at a zoo? The Turtle Back Zoo is the host to benefit the Essex County Parks Foundation. Yes, there will be a live Oompah Bank and dozens of seasonal brews to taste. Some are local and others are from around the world.

This is strictly adults only (over 21) event with food vendors and local crafts available. So as much as we hate to say it, it might be a good time to think about Christmas gifts.

No matter how you look at it, Oktoberfest is not an event to enjoy alone. That’s why a limo party bus with plush seats, a squeaky clean interior and all the amenities you expect, is perfect for Oktoberfest fun.
